St. Paul Residential Internet Coverage

St. Paul makes up the eastern half to the Twin Cities, making it home to almost 300,000 people and hundreds of businesses. For that reason, many large internet service providers have set up networks in this area.

One of the largest fiber internet providers in St. Paul is Centurylink Prism, which serves a large part of central St. Paul. This provider brings coverage to key neighborhoods like West Side and West Seventh.

CenturyLink also has a DSL network in this area that covers 100% of St. Paul, as well as neighboring communities and cities. Coverage reaches the western neighborhoods of Saint Anthony and Merriam Park, which border Minneapolis. It reaches Battle Creek and Greater Eastside in the east.

Cable is provided by Xfinity, which covers most of St. Paul. A small part of the downtown area is not within the service area. Xfinity provides consistent coverage to major St. Paul neighborhoods like Highland, Macalester, Midway, Summit Hill, and Dayton_s Bluff.

Xfinity is good - when it works! I usually have to call them every other week. I have had them to my house, been given new (refirbished) boxes, and I still have problems. But I do like the channels I get. Xfinity is very pricy, but am looking into other options. I have family and friends that have switched to YouTube TV. Going to check into it.

DON'T SWITCH TO AT&T IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO. At&t customer service is terrible and exhausting. No one is helpful and does not care what the customer's situation is. On my situation, the agent who was helping us to upgrade the line said they would waive the activation fee. Later they charged it on my bill. We called customer service, and the agent connected to the manager. The manager did not even listen and hung up on us. When I asked, sir could you listen to me, he said NO!. what kind of customer service does At&t provide. And this is the 2nd time this has happened to us. When we try to upgrade the line the agent is so helpful and tells about discounts but it never gets applied to the bill. And we go follow through the cycle of calling, getting pushbacks, and no one can solve the problem. For the first time when we upgraded, we said we will just leave it than going through all that hassle. But then this is the 2nd time. And the sad part is they don't care how long you have been customers with them. Its been more than 8 years and this is how they treat us. Even the manager doesn't have the tolerance or slightest patience to listen to the concerns of the customer. I be this is about time now we switch to a different line. This review probably won't effect the company but if this kind of situation continues, they'll keep on losing customers. DON'T SWITCH TO AT&T. I know I won't even get a reply to this review. THANKS FOR ALL THE TROUBLE AND HASSLE I HAD TO GO THROUGH AT&T.
